New Year, New Hair, New You

Hello Hair Divas!

With the closing of 2008, I reflected on how far me and my little site has come! I've learned so much about hair, products, tricks of the trade, etc. from a number of different outlets, but mainly from my wonderful clients! I encountered every type of hair imaginable from some of the most expensive (true virgin hair) to a hybrid of mixtures...'fine animal fibers'...(yes, there was a hair brand that actually had that on the package).

I learned that not all hair is created equal. I could buy two packs of Saga Gold that wears great for me for two months straight, but then someone else could buy the same hair and have it matt up on their head like a scared cat! Why some batches are just BAD and others aren't is a guessing game. :/

I've gone through my share of BBs (bad batches) this past year. From the Milky Way that only had three strands left on the wefts after removal (all that hair on the bathroom floor over the course of two weeks) to the premium virgin indian hair I ordered from a BOGO sale that stood straight out on ONE side of my head and no matter what I did, would not behave. I think I've found my tried and true though....Wagmans EC (eurocurl). I love the texture of it when it's straight, but at the same time, as soon as 'she'...yes, I refer to my hair as one of my girlfriends, gets wet, she waves/curls up so beautifully that I digress back to Janet Jacksons video (can't remember the name ... but its the one where she's in the water and her hair is wet and wavy). I almost thought it was my own hair for a quick moment. This hair makes me feel GOOD and it keeps people guessing ... is it hers?

No matter what hair you choose for your install, it should make you feel beautiful and confident. If you've always wanted to try color, a short style, bangs, or whatever...weave is a healthy alternative without compromising the health of your own hair. You can rock a different look every other month, go daring with some length for a special occaision, etc. It's a New Year, so if you've always 'played it safe' with the basic flat wrap, I urge you to think about trying something new ... New Year, New Hair, New YOU!
