Greetings Hair Divas!
I am so happy it's summer! If you don't know, summer is my absolutely favorite time of year. Not only because I love, love, LOVE the sunshine and heat (not the Chicago humidity though!) but also because summer months bring so much to do, see and experience.
I'm starting to see a huge surge in women who are opting for curly/wavy hair for the summer months because of the low maintenance and the just the sheer fun of it!
I have my favorite brands that I swear by (Wagmans Eurocurl, Halleys Gentle Wave), but there are a few less pricier styles out there for those that are watching their wallets and only want to wear it for a month or so (Batik synthetic styles are a great alternative). I get alot of requests for something 'wet-n-wavy'. Most hair brands in beauty supply stores that tout 'wet-n-wavy' are really just 'wavy' because when wet, it doesn't give the desired effect it's supposed to. Bohyme Brazilian Curl is is a true wet n wavy...it's a very tight natural curl when wet and it gives you a very full look without much effort. If you're looking for a more versatile look that you can wear straight and also curly, Wagmans curl textures are a good option. When deciding on what curl/wave pattern you are looking for, try to find a picture of something similiar, email it to me and I can direct you to brands/styles that you can take a look at to give you your desired style.
I've put a disclaimer on my mainpage to let you know that I am now booking up at least a month in advance (blessings a plenty) thanks to all of the positive feedback the the gorgeous women (YOU!) that wear your weaves beautifully to represent my work. I am truly thankful for each and every one of my clients. Most of you know that I try to go far above and beyond to make sure that your installs are on point and that you're 100% completely satisfied with it. I love weaving hair and find that makes it not seem like 'work'. Thanks to all of you who have sent blessings and congrats my way when I recently got promoted to management at work ... I know many of you were afraid I was going to quit weaving as much, but the new position still allows me to continue to do what I love. I've cut my Sundays out and I may be giving myself another 'off' day throughout the week, but I will let you know in advance once I decide. I've started to realize that if I don't take care of me, I can't take care of your hair! So I need to give myself a couple resting days for all of our sakes. :)
Enjoy the rest of your summer and remember to book your appointments early!
